CareTech Community Services is a national provider of support for people with complex and challenging behaviours associated with autism, learning disabilities, mental health illness and neurological conditions.

Role
Support Worker – Community Mental Health (Southampton Area). Hyde location referenced in materials. Contract: Permanent; Full Time (37.5 hours per week).
Responsibilities
* Support people to live as independently as possible within their own homes and in residential care settings.
* Engage with service users in a person-centred way and promote their wellbeing and independence.
* Work in collaboration with the care team to deliver high-quality care and support.
* Participate in inductions, training and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications and Skills
* Experience in a caring environment preferred, but not essential.
* Able to work days, evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays.
* Good communication skills to engage and interact with service users.
* Ability to remain calm under pressure.
* Confidence to work independently and as part of a team.
* Passionate about making a positive difference to someone’s life.
* Good written skills.
