Mission description
We are seeking an intern to join the London team in support of our asset management and transaction activities across Western Europe (UK, Belgium, Netherlands and Luxemburg).
Reporting to the Asset Manager, the Asset Analyst Intern will provide the necessary support to the Western Europe Asset Management team in optimising the value creation by managing the life cycle of our hotels (acquisition / disposal / lease negotiation / lease compliance / renovation / repositioning / subletting).
* Support the asset management team in the implementation of the Essendi strategy.
* Provide necessary reports and ad hoc information as requested by the management as support to the decision-making process
* Support in providing the necessary analytical tools to follow up the hotel financials and operational performances, the market performances and hotel current physical status (business intel, P&L & operational analysis, capex review, ESG reporting, benchmark of operational performances for comparable hotels etc).
Main Responsibilities
* Prepare and undertake the relevant analysis in order to support the property strategy for the hotel portfolio: asset acquisition / disposal / maintenance / repositioning using the AMAP (Asset Management Action Plan).
* Support in the preparation of presentations for internal committees and approval processes; review and update Business Plans, Major Capex Investment and Transaction analyses and presentations.
* Support in the context of the semi-annual valuation campaigns
* Update or review our existing tools such as AMAP, JEDI.
* Support in preparing and reviewing data rooms for future transactions.
* Undertake some relevant benchmark market analysis in order to maintain and develop knowledge of the markets of current and future competition in the segment i.e.: local market trends, mid-term plan for local authorities.
* Monitor & keep track of the UK transactions.
* Creation or formalisation of processes, support in the documentation backup and archiving methodology for the department
Training: Bachelor degree in finance/real-estate/hospitality is preferred.
Languages: Fluent English is mandatory and French or Dutch as a 2nd language is considered as an advantage.
Required Skills
Know-how:
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office with a strong focus on Excel and PowerPoint.
Interest in real estate and hospitality.
Knowledge of general financial principles in business (P&L, analysis, cash-flow…).

Contract: full time, fix-term. Expected duration between 6/12 months
