Accounts Assistant/Legal Cashier – Glasgow
I'm looking for an Accounts Assistant/Legal Cashier to join a friendly and professional finance team in Glasgow. If you have experience in legal finance and enjoy working with numbers, systems and people, this could be a great fit for you.
What you'll get up to!
In this role, you'll take care of a variety of important finance tasks, including:
* Processing and allocating bank receipts (both client and office accounts)
* Setting up and checking electronic payments (CHAPS, BACS, FastPay, international transfers), including AML checks
* Posting payments, receipts and transfers into our finance system
* Managing transactions for our client bank accounts
* Reviewing and preparing cheque requests
* Investigating and resolving any issues from daily bank reconciliations
* Supporting solicitors and other staff with financial transactions
* Preparing cash and cheque banking
* Calculating interest on client accounts
* Filing documentation electronically for audit purposes
* Assisting with the firm's annual audit
* Joining team meetings and helping improve our processes
* Supporting any other finance tasks as needed
What This Firm is Looking For:
Ideally, you'll have previous experience in a legal cashiering or legal finance role and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, detail-focused environment. We're looking for someone who's organised, reliable and a great team player.
