Position: Cover Supervisor with Specialism in Mathematics – Immediate Commencement A well‑regarded secondary institution in the Blackburn area is seeking to appoint an accomplished Cover Supervisor with a strong academic foundation in Mathematics, evidenced by a degree in Mathematics or an equivalent discipline. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering structured GCSE Mathematics intervention alongside providing high‑quality classroom supervision as required. Key Responsibilities: Deliver focused intervention sessions aimed at improving pupil outcomes in GCSE Mathematics. Provide effective and professional classroom supervision across a range of subjects in the absence of teaching staff. Collaborate with the Mathematics department to monitor pupil progress and implement appropriate support strategies. Maintain a calm, orderly, and purposeful learning environment in line with school policies. Uphold high standards of conduct, safeguarding, and academic integrity at all times. Essential Criteria: A degree in Mathematics (or a closely aligned subject). Strong subject knowledge with the ability to communicate mathematical concepts clearly and effectively. Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and behaviour‑management skills. A professional, reliable, and adaptable approach to supporting teaching and learning.
