ABOUT STAFFORD HOUSE
Stafford House has over 70 years’ experience in providing international students with great English language study experiences in the UK. Our mission is to educate, inspire, and help our students enjoy our locations, empowering them with confidence to realize their personal potential. Stafford House comprises two brands: Stafford House International and Stafford House Study Holidays.
Stafford House Study Holidays offers summer study experiences at various locations, including CATS Global Schools locations worldwide and partner venues at prestigious boarding schools and universities. We also provide non-ELT summer programs in Arts, Sciences, and Business. Notably, we partner with CATS Academy Boston. Stafford House Study Holidays is operated by CATS Academy Boston in Massachusetts.
Stafford House International has three year-round locations in Cambridge, Canterbury, and London. These schools benefit from being part of CATS Global Schools, allowing us to deliver high-quality programs such as Professional Certificates, Business English, IELTS preparation, and General English, with afternoon modules in all locations. We serve group bookings from Study Holidays throughout the year.

Center Director
The Center Director oversees the management of the center, ensuring high-quality program delivery, adherence to guidelines, efficient problem-solving, and effective team management. Responsibilities include monitoring all aspects of the program, coordinating academic and activities programs, maintaining professional relationships, ensuring student safety, and managing quality and customer satisfaction.
Reports to: Summer Operations Manager and Stafford House Head Office
Contract: Seasonal
Hours: Up to 60 hours over 6 days per week
YOUR PROFILE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
In our Boston center, where a Residential Life Manager is present, some tasks will be delegated accordingly.
1. Read and understand the CD manual, welfare manual, and staff handbook, and be fully familiar with policies on child well-being and protection. Staff are responsible for student care, well-being, and safety during duty, following school rules.
2. Ensure organizational compliance with CATS Academy Boston’s welfare policies and Massachusetts law.
3. Assume full responsibility as the Designated Safeguarding Officer, fostering communication and observation to prevent maltreatment. Be aware of and implement safeguarding policies, reporting any concerns immediately.
4. Maintain awareness of center activities and keep communication channels with Head Office open.
5. Establish effective management procedures and collaborate closely with the Center Management Team.
6. Lead and participate in Staff Induction Day prior to student arrival.
7. Manage customer service to meet client needs.
8. Create a positive team environment and motivate staff.
9. Maintain open communication with clients and Head Office; represent Stafford House positively.
10. Control expenditure, ensure timely payments, and manage company debit cards and receipts.
11. Teach when necessary, such as during teacher absence or low student numbers (qualified staff only).
12. Close the center, manage stock and finances post-program, and report to Head Office.
13. Implement and monitor all Stafford House Health & Safety policies.
14. Manage staff to ensure center security, accurate data management, proper documentation, and high performance.
15. Oversee accommodation and student well-being, including nighttime duties and supervision of residential staff and students, liaising with relevant departments.
16. Manage emergency phone coverage and perform additional duties as required.
ABOUT YOU
Essential: CEF level C1/CAE/IELTS 7.0, management experience, leadership, administration, computer literacy, adaptability, problem-solving, budget control, communication skills, enthusiasm, professional appearance.
Desirable: Degree, First Aid certification, experience working with children, summer school and residential experience, CD experience.
