Science Teacher – Hemel Hempstead
Location: Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire
Salary: £34,398 – £52,490 (MPS–UPS, depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP/October 2025
Contract: Full-Time
About the Role
You’ll become part of a vibrant Science faculty that values creativity, teamwork, and excellence. Teaching will mainly cover Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to deliver Key Stage 5 depending on your specialism (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics).
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons aligned with the curriculum
* Assess, track, and support pupil progress with constructive feedback
* Contribute to curriculum development and extracurricular STEM opportunities (clubs, competitions, trips)
* Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
* Take part in staff development, meetings, and parent engagement
* Work collaboratively to support whole-school improvement goals
What We’re Looking For
* Qualified Teacher (QTS) or ECT with a strong Science background
* Passion for inspiring students in Science through engaging lessons
* Excellent subject knowledge and commitment to high academic standards
* Strong classroom management and communication skills
* Enthusiasm for professional development and continuous improvement
(Please note: applications are also welcome from unqualified candidates with relevant experience who are interested in training towards QTS.)
