Supplier Performance & Contract Manager

We are seeking an experienced Supplier Performance & Contract Manager to join our Technology Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) function on an interim basis. This role is crucial for the in-life management of strategic technology suppliers, ensuring contractual compliance, effective supplier governance, performance management, and commercial oversight.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Manage the governance and oversight of a portfolio of strategic technology suppliers, including major providers like BT, Atos, and Microsoft.
• Review and assess Statements of Work (SOWs) to ensure they align with contractual agreements, commercial terms, rates, and service commitments.
• Provide commercial challenge and scrutiny of supplier proposals to ensure value for money and alignment with business requirements.
• Monitor, track, and manage supplier requests and proposals through approval and governance processes.
• Conduct supplier performance reviews against contracted obligations, service levels, and agreed deliverables.
• Manage and coordinate supplier performance escalations to ensure issues are resolved efficiently and appropriately.
• Ensure compliance with supplier governance frameworks, processes, and controls.
• Support contract lifecycle activities relating to in-life contract management.
• Work closely with Procurement, Infrastructure, Service Delivery, and Project teams to ensure effective management of supplier engagements.
• Provide reporting, governance updates, and insights into supplier performance, risks, and commercial issues.
• Maintain accurate contract, supplier, and governance documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in Supplier Management, Supplier Performance Management, Contract Management, or Commercial Management.
• Strong experience managing third-party suppliers within a complex enterprise environment.
• Experience reviewing and governing Statements of Work (SOWs) against contractual terms and commercial agreements.
• Strong understanding of contract management principles and supplier governance processes.
• Ability to manage supplier performance reviews and performance-related escalations.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholder groups across business and technology functions.
• Strong commercial awareness coupled with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and become effective quickly with minimal supervision or training.

Desirable Experience:

• Experience within a Technology, IT Services, or Digital environment.
• Knowledge of major technology suppliers such as BT, Atos, Microsoft, and similar strategic service providers.
• Experience working within a Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) function.
• Understanding of technology service delivery, infrastructure services, and project delivery environments.
• Experience within large, complex organisations with established procurement and supplier governance frameworks.
• We are looking for a professional who can hit the ground running, ideally with a background in Supplier Performance Management, Contract Management, Commercial Management, Procurement, or Vendor Management.
