Join our Vendor Engagement Team

The Vendor Engagement team is a key part of the newly structured Vendor and Cloud Alliance within the Commercial Engagement Team. It oversees all sales activities with top vendors, ensuring alignment with the Softcat vendor framework. The team focuses on building strong relationships with sales and enablement teams to drive engaging vendor-led initiatives. It also ensures important vendor messages are delivered to the sales team at the right time and in the most effective way.

Connecting vendor priorities to sales success
As the Vendor Engagement Deputy Team Leader, you will connect vendors and sales by translating vendor priorities into timely, relevant engagement aligned to Softcat's technology towers. You will work closely with Alliance Managers and sales teams to deliver targeted enablement, ensuring teams clearly understand when to position vendor solutions and the value they bring. You will also take on leadership responsibilities, including recruitment, performance management, budgeting, and leading 1:1s and team meetings.

As Vendor Engagement Deputy Team Leader, you'll be responsible for:

  • Executing vendor engagement plans and Joint Business Plans in alignment with the Vendor Framework
  • Building strong relationships with Alliance Managers, sales, and marketing to drive aligned and effective vendor activity
  • Creating and delivering clear, consistent value propositions with internal stakeholders
  • Planning and delivering targeted sales enablement, including training, incentives, and events
  • Monitoring progress through regular performance reviews and sharing insights with key stakeholders
  • Managing the team through recruitment, performance management, budgeting, and leading 1:1s and team meetings
