About you
This role involves managing an incredible team of Pet Health Advisors (PHAs) alongside a substantial practice wide wealth of experience, ensuring the day to day running of client services is managed effectively and house rules are observed. Your work will be split between PHA work delivering the client care we speak of and management duties. You will work closely with the Practice Partner, the Practice Manager, Clinical lead Vet and Senior Nurse and form part of a strong management team. You will be responsible for people management, practice administration, marketing, social media and delivering first class client service!
You should have experience managing colleagues and have skills to be able to work effectively and efficiently, oversee a range of tasks and projects and work to deadlines. We are looking for you to be a proactive communicator, approachable and compassionate whilst being able to instruct, delegate and ensure team compliance. You will be able to deal with challenging client and colleague situations calmly and proficiently, removing the drama that can sometimes unfold whilst looking for the most beneficial outcome for all. Having the ability to deal with the day pragmatically will be one of your biggest wins. Prioritising the right wins of the day is key - we recognise not everything is possible at all times. We need you to be open to learning and pivoting your perspective in order to keep progressing in your career. The role can be fast paced and involves a lot of moving parts for the work to come together. Educating yourself on the moving parts at speed will be an important start to the role.
In summary, we are after a people person who is bubbly, supportive, solution orientated and is able to lift morale in difficult times, but underneath that soft exterior, embodies strong leadership abilities, makes an impression, develops the team and delivers the goods because you keep your eye on the end goal.
