Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for a Senior / Principal Mechanical Engineer who will be the Technical Lead for Tooling Equipment. Candidates will ideally be based in Derby and will be engaged on a permanent basis. As a Technical Lead, you will be involved in developing an engineering capability with responsibility for managing and delivering tooling engineered solutions. This work supports current and future tooling requirements for the nuclear defence sector. Responsibilities: ? Leading engineering teams from FEED Concept through to Detail Design, with generation or management of technical files containing all required documentation. ? Support development and growth of a tooling capability within a growing client base. ? SQEP assess scopes of work from client and deploy within the engineering team. ? Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders including client representatives. ? Apply current Legislative Regulations (e.g. LOLER, PUWER, CDM Regulation, Machinery Directive, PED) and respective Engineering Standards (ASME, BS, EN). ?? Deliver tooling equipment via DfM (Design for Manufacture) within the Supply Chain and maintain a track record of managing the supplier as an Intelligent Customer.Experience / Qualifications: ?
