Description
Fund Communications Manager
Edinburgh, Permanent
We're Aegon. We're a company of ambitious, positive problem-solvers who get things done. We're a team, not a group of individuals. Collaboration is our life force and we believe it's our duty to leave things better than we find them.
We help people live their best lives. We help them with the big stuff, for the moments that matter: Pensions, Savings, Investments.
Our Fund Communications Manager will support the Head of Fund Communications to deliver a range of workplace and responsible investing content and reporting as well as a wider range of investment communications that support propositional developments, projects and fund related activity.
We are looking for someone who has the ability to translate complex ideas and information to deliver compelling messages appropriate for each audience to achieve clarity and buy in at all levels. A key part of this role is to ensure that all communication activity is planned and delivered to timelines.
The Fund Communications Manager will also support the wider investment services team with maintenance and development of the existing investment communication estate including ensuring current items are up to date and compliant and management of existing web collateral via content management systems. It is vitally important that we develop new investment collateral to replace out of date material.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
1. High quality copywriting skills across all media
2. Relationship management and partnering skills
3. Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to meet strict deadlines, while demonstrating accountability for individual workload
4. The ability to simplify complex information and communicate to multiple audiences both internal and external
5. Knowledge of workplace pension schemes, trust based and contract based schemes
It’d also be great – but not essential - if you’ve got:
6. Previous experience of large scale communication project
7. Previous experience of technical writing, for example in an RFP role
8. Awareness of Investment markets, funds and fund managers would be advantageous
What’s in it for you?
9. A competitive salary from £34,000 – £45,000, depending on the experience you can bring
10. A non-contributory pension between 8%-12%
11. A discretionary bonus, depending on personal and company performance
12. 34 days leave per year (including bank holidays, pro-rated for part-time)
We know our staff have busy lives and commitments outside work, so we work flexibly where possible and have a hybrid approach to office working (typically 2 days in the Edinburgh office per week, 3 from home).
We also offer private medical cover, life assurance, critical illness cover, enhanced parental leave and a variety of lifestyle benefits to help our staff live their best lives, including retail discount vouchers, cycle2work scheme, subsidised restaurant and online GP appointments.
We ask everyone to be brave, raise their game, deliver first time, help others, and act in everyone’s best interests. If you recognise yourself in this, we’d love to hear from you.
Closing date: Sunday 12th November
