Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented CNC Milling Machine Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC milling machines to produce precision components that meet strict quality standards. Your expertise will ensure efficient production workflows, adherence to safety protocols, and the delivery of high-quality parts for various manufacturing applications. Duties
* Set up CNC milling machines by installing tooling, fixtures, and programming parameters based on detailed blueprints and technical specifications.
* Operate CNC milling equipment with precision, ensuring accurate cutting, drilling, and shaping of metal or plastic parts.
* Read and interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards to verify specifications.
* Program CNC machines using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software such as SolidWorks or other CAD/CAM tools to optimize machining processes.
* Perform routine machine maintenance, troubleshoot issues promptly, and adjust machine settings for optimal performance.
* Conduct quality control inspections using calipers, micrometers, precision measuring instruments, and other tools to verify dimensions meet specifications.
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety protocols related to materials handling, tooling, welding, and fabrication processes.
Skills
* Proficiency in CNC programming and operation of CNC milling machines with experience in Fanuc controls or similar systems.
* Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T principles, and mechanical drawings.
* Knowledge of CAM programming software such as SolidWorks or equivalent CAD/CAM platforms.
* Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), stamping presses, press brake machines, CNC lathes, and other manufacturing equipment.
* Ability to use hand tools, precision measuring instruments like micrometers and calipers, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
* Experience working in a manufacturing facility with factory experience in machining or fabrication environments.
* Mechanical knowledge related to tooling setup, materials handling, welding, assembly line operations, and packaging processes.
* Valid forklift certification is a plus for materials movement within the warehouse or fabrication area.
* Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control standards; ability to identify defects or deviations from specifications.
* Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to follow safety procedures diligently in a fast-paced factory setting.
