Teacher of Computing, Bathgate Academy, 35 hours per week, Permanent, Closing Date: 22nd May 2025

Bathgate Academy is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and dynamic Teacher of Computing.
The successful candidate will support the school's vision and implement strategies to achieve it. This is a key role during an exciting and challenging time for education at the school.
Bathgate Academy is a comprehensive, non-denominational school serving a cluster of five primary schools.
The current school roll is 1180, and it is steadily increasing due to local housing developments and growing community confidence in our educational standards.
Our dedicated staff, students, parents, carers, and community have worked hard to continually improve all aspects of our school.

A relevant teaching qualification and registration with the General Teaching Council for Scotland are essential.

This position is classified as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful candidates will need to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check before starting employment. The candidate will bear the cost: £59 for full membership or £18 for existing members.
