Job Title: Registered Manager (Ofsted)
Location: Chorley, Manchester
Service Users: Children (7 to 18 years) with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties
Work Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday
Annual Leave: 6 weeks per year, plus statutory bank holidays
Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 DOE + up to £5,000 in bonuses
Sponsorship: Not available
Note: Individuals with only CQC experience who have not worked in an Ofsted-registered children’s home will not be considered.

Your Role

As a Registered Manager, you will lead and oversee the daily operations of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care for children and young people with EBD.

Key Responsibilities:

* Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, including the Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
* Provide strong leadership, developing and supporting a compassionate and resilient staff team.
* Implement personalised care plans tailored to individual needs.
* Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including Clinical Psychologists.
* Promote therapeutic practices to support young people in achieving positive outcomes.
* Conduct audits, including Regulation 44 and Regulation 45 reports.
* Manage budgets and resources effectively.
* Facilitate recruitment, training, and development of staff.


What We’re Looking For

* Qualifications: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services (or equivalent) or a willingness to complete it.
* Experience: Proven senior-level experience in a children’s residential setting.
* Driving: Full manual driving licence.
* Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and effective communication.

* Act as a role model, inspiring your team to deliver exceptional care.
* Ensure the home remains compliant with all regulatory and legal requirements.
* Develop and implement innovative and effective care strategies.
* Provide supervision, support, and appraisals for staff members.
* Promote a culture of continuous improvement.
