Assessment of Fitness to Drive is a dynamic and evolving field so demands committment to professional excellence, a proven record of professional development as well as an ambition to develop your career within a specialist third section organisation.
You will be an experienced and highly motivated clinician registered with the Health & Care Professions Council or similar health regulatory body and hold a full UK driving Licence.
You will have an ability to communicate effectively with service users, health professionals and major stakeholders including DVLA,Motability and the police, as well as having a passion for developing services in line with service users and stakeholder needs.
You will be able to apply your clinical expertise to assess practical function during on-road assessment whilst accompanied by an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI), and ideally will have experience of working with a range of neurological and musculoskeletal conditions.
Based at the North Wales centre, you will be supported by an experienced team and will receive induction and ongoing training to develop the skills for this specialist role. You will also be supported to achieve mandatory qualifications in Driving and Outdoor Mobility, all of which will be fully funded.
This is a permanent position for part time working of working 2 days (15 hours) a week. A fluency in the Welsh language is highly desirable.
