About the Role
We are recruiting a motivated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a thriving mainstream primary school in Chorley from September 2026. This temp-to-perm position offers an excellent opportunity to secure a permanent role while gaining experience in a specialist SEN provision.
You will support children with Autism Spectrum Condition and Speech and Language difficulties within a dedicated SEN class, helping them achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide structured and consistent support to learners with SEND
* Implement education and behaviour support plans
* Encourage independence and confidence in pupils
* Support communication development
* Work closely with teaching staff and external professionals
Requirements
* Experience in a primary school or SEN setting
* Knowledge of ASC and speech and language needs preferred
* Strong teamwork and communication skills
