Job Title: Driver Class 1
Job Purpose:
Reporting directly to the Transport Manager, this role is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers. The position involves efficiently transporting products across the UK while maintaining strong professional relationships and ensuring timely deliveries.
Key Accountabilities
Always ensure the security of the company vehicle.
Operate within legal regulations and promptly report any vehicle maintenance concerns.
Comply with all Health & Safety policies and procedures, reporting accidents or near misses immediately.
Drive safely, courteously, and in accordance with traffic laws.
Be prepared for long-distance travel with regular overnight stays.
Adapt to driving various company vehicles and undertake necessary training.
Maintain a high level of performance in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
Assist in loading and unloading products when required.
Handle weights over 25kg as part of job duties.
Adhere to analogue and digital tachograph regulations as per statutory guidelines.
Demonstrate a sound understanding of the Road Transport Directive (RTD) and working time regulations.
Maintain compliance with transport legislation, ensuring minimal infringements.
Continuously review and adjust to the evolving needs of the organisation.
Role Requirements
Valid CE Driving Licence (HGV Class 1), Driver Qualification Card (DQC), and Driver Card.
Strong geographical knowledge of the UK.
Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.
