Design Manager required on a permanent basis to join a well-regarded main contractor in the North East. My client is a successful main contractor with a turnover in excess of £150m, who work in the new-build commercial, education and healthcare sectors. They're seeking a Design Manager who has previously worked in a main contracting environment and, the scope of the role includes: * Involvement in design and build projects, or projects with large elements of contractor design * Involvement of pre-construction/tender design management, as well as live/construction stage design management * The role is both project specific and also process related and duties will vary from project to project * Project Management of live schemes with the project management team Main duties will include (but not be limited to): * Manage the delivery of construction information to facilitate the achievement of the required project sot, programme and quality * Undertake the role of Temporary Works Coordinator if required * Review and improve (where necessary) design management systems and processes * Develop relationships with designers, consultants and the client * Have full involvement from tender stage through to project completion As well as offering a market-leading salary and benefits package, this is an excellent opportunity to join a company where you can be involved in a variety of projects, both pre-construction and live p...
