Payroll Administrator required for a well-established and growing business based in Poole. You will be responsible for managing the accurate collection, processing, and submission of all payroll-related data to an external payroll bureau. This role ensures all employee information, including timesheets, bonuses, new hires, and leavers, is submitted on time, and that the final output from the bureau is verified for accuracy and compliance. Key Responsibilities Data Collection & Preparation: Collect, verify, and input employee data such as hours worked, overtime, bonuses, commission, deductions, and unpaid leave. Bureau Liaison: Act as the primary contact for the external payroll bureau, ensuring all data is submitted accurately and within established deadlines. Starters/Leavers/Changes: Maintain accurate records of new hires, terminations, salary adjustments, and personal detail changes, reporting these promptly to the bureau. Payroll Validation: Review and audit the draft payroll reports received from the bureau, cross-checking against internal records to ensure accuracy. Statutory Compliance: Ensure all calculations adhere to statutory regulations (PAYE, NI, Pensions, SSP, SMP). Query Resolution: Act as the first point of contact for employees regarding payroll, payslip, or deduction queries, liaising with the bureau to resolve discrepancies. Reporting: Generate and maintain regular payroll reports for management. Required Skills and Qualifications Experience: Previous experience in a payroll function, specifically working with outsourced payroll providers/bureaus an advantage. Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with Time and Attendance systems. Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail to ensure error-free data submission. Time Management: Proven ability to work to strict, non-negotiable deadlines. Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with employees, managers, and external partners.
