Managing Consultant | FMCG Marketing Recruitment Specialist

Responsibilities
* Lead and develop first‑class category & consumer insights, making clear recommendations to both internal and external stakeholders.
* Be the expert in understanding the brand’s consumer, the category consumer of the future and how the brand will continue to recruit them, including recommendations on price and promotions.
* Lead the consumer research to land more category‑breaking innovation over the coming years.
* Work closely with the sales team to maximise the performance of priority ranges within customers to improve distribution and ensure delivery of the commercial plan.
* Continue acting as category captains, maintain the current phase of growth with sensitivity to the wider market.
* Build relationships and trust with key customers to positively influence core category performance for mutual benefit, including Category Reviews, Range Reviews, New Product Presentations and customer specific work (e.g., Promotional analysis, Total Frozen category recommendations).
* Be a category partner for a defined product area.
Qualifications
* Experience in a Category Manager or Senior Category Manager capacity.
* Experience working with data sets such as IRI, Kantar, Dunnhumby, Retail Link or HIVE.
* Ability to develop relationships with internal and external customers.
* Ability to influence others, manage projects and turn insights into actions.
* Experience managing a direct report or a larger team – this role has five direct reports; people management and development are non‑negotiable.
