The Opportunity An established services business based in Southeast London is seeking two Interim Business Analysts on a 3-6-month interim contract, starting ASAP, paying £200-£300 per day. They do 4 days in the office, but this could be one more or less week to week dependent on capacity. Following a recent acquisition, the business has inherited finance data that is heavily Excel-based and insufficiently structured. This interim requirement has been created to support the finance team in rebuilding, rationalising, and improving the quality of management information and reporting. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused assignment, well suited to a Management Accountant who is comfortable working through complex, unstructured data and supporting consolidation activity in a fast-paced interim environment. Key Responsibilities Analyse and restructure business and financial data inherited through acquisition Translate unstructured datasets into clear, consistent and usable information Support group-level consolidation through data analysis and validation Review historic data to identify trends, gaps, and inconsistencies Develop dashboards and reporting outputs to improve insight and decision-making Work extensively in Excel to model scenarios, reconcile data, and test assumptions Candidate Profile Proven experience in a business analyst, data analyst, or commercially focused analytical role Advanced Excel capability with strong data modelling and analytical skills Experience supporting acquisitions, integrations, or data-led transformation projects Comfortable working independently with ambiguous or incomplete information Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and commercially aware This contract role offers the chance to join a dynamic, and rapidly expanding business, with exposure to some of the best industry minds in their market.
