We are seeking a motivated and dedicated HGV Apprentice to join our team. Duties
* Assist with the daily inspection and maintenance of HGV vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations
* Support senior technicians in performing repairs, servicing, and troubleshooting of trucks and trailers
* Learn to operate various types of commercial vehicles under supervision
* Help with loading, unloading, and securing cargo safely during transportation
* Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, repairs, and service schedules
* Follow all health and safety protocols during operations and maintenance activities
* Participate in training sessions to develop driving skills, technical knowledge, and safety awareness
Qualifications
* A genuine interest in commercial vehicle operation, maintenance, or engineering
* Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics or prior experience in a related field is advantageous but not required
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
* Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately
* Willingness to learn and develop new skills through hands-on training
* Valid driver's license preferred; a clean driving record is an advantage
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
