As a Payroll Manager your main responsibility is managing multiple workstreams to ensure all action is complete, whilst ensuring the team and the business have the knowledge and tools to meet monthly deadlines. You work with our other Payroll Mangers to reconcile the monthly payroll and complete reporting requirements.
You support the business and employees, providing bespoke advice and guidance.
You also ensure new and improved processes and controls are in place, seeking digital solutions, making improvements for the business and employees, whilst adhering to current and changing policy and legislation.
You liaise with key stakeholders, including our systems teams and Civil Service Pensions.
This role is based in Nottingham. Occasional travel may also be required to other CPS locations. This role can be managed under hybrid working.
Your roles and responsibilities:
* You work with office leads and key stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of Oracle HR and the Payroll systems
* You deliver on the on-going plan for Oracle quarterly updates and the ePayfact and iPayview releases
* You liaise with HR and DID colleagues and manage progress updates
* You manage all outstanding queries and responds promptly to escalations, taking appropriate action to ensure resolution within SLAs and to customer expectations
* You promote and champions the adoption of consistent training across the team
