Our client, a leading educational institution in Bristol, is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, ensuring they receive the guidance and support necessary to thrive in their educational journey. Work closely with the classroom teacher to develop and implement individualised support plans for students with SEMH needs Provide one-to-one and small group support to help students access the curriculum and achieve their learning goals Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes emotional well-being and encourages student engagement Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining accurate records and communicating regularly with the classroom teacher and other relevant staff Collaborate with external agencies and professionals, such as educational psychologists and therapists, to ensure a holistic approach to student support Assist in the development and delivery of behaviour management strategies, promoting positive behaviour and addressing challenging behaviours when necessary Contribute to the planning and preparation of learning materials and resources that cater to the diverse needs of students with SEMH Participate in relevant training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in supporting students with SEMH needs Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent Proven experience working with students with SEMH needs in an educational setting Strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with SEMH and the strategies to support their learning and well-being Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents Proficient in the use of technology to support learning and record-keeping Resilient and adaptable, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and challenging environment Our client offers a competitive salary range of £85 to £95 per day, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
