If so, we want you to join our Children, Schools & Families Department at London Borough of Merton! What’s Involved? As an Early Years Co-ordinator, you will support the day-to-day operations of our Brightwell service, which focuses on providing care and recreational activities for children aged 6-18 with complex medical, health, education, and care needs. Your key responsibilities will include: ✨ Supporting the manager in daily operations, staff management, and service activity planning ✨ Ensuring high-quality care that meets health, safety, and legislative requirements ✨ Leading a team of Care Officers and role-modeling best practices for children with special educational needs (SEN) and disabilities ✨ Safeguarding children’s welfare and ensuring adherence to policies and child protection frameworks ✨ Working with families and multi-agency partners to ensure coordinated care and individual support plans ✨ Managing finances related to daily provisions, activities, and supplies Key Qualifications & Skills: ✔️ Level 3 or above qualification in Children & Young People or a related field ✔️ Experience managing teams and working in a similar care or childcare setting ✔️ Extensive knowledge of working with children and young people with complex needs and disabilities ✔️ Ability to manage challenging behavior and provide emotional and social support ✔️ Experience with safeguarding protocols and leading teams in child protection frameworks ✔️ Strong communication skills and the ability to form professional relationships with children, families, and staff What We Offer: Training and professional development opportunities to enhance your career A supportive, inclusive, and empowering work environment The chance to make a lasting impact in the lives of children and families in the community How to Apply: To apply for this role, simply send your CV and cover letter to us today!
