Further information
With a huge and expanding pipeline of work programmed well into the next decade, we believe the time is right to bring more pre and post contract work in-house. You will be part of a strong design team delivering a broad & exciting range of new-build and refurbishment schemes such as schools, housing, heritage and commercial projects and will be at the forefront of the drive for decarbonisation across the council's portfolio.
Whilst ideally, you will have experience of undertaking or supporting project surveyor work or with a design strength, this role would equally suit a newly qualified person or indeed someone currently studying a relevant construction focused qualification. What is crucial is a willingness to learn, excellent customer services skills, a knowledge of construction, and enthusiasm.
The main focus of the post will be to support colleagues and work with numerous principal contractors, sub-contractors, stakeholders, councillors and tenants to ensure that projects are designed, managed and successfully completed within set timescales and budget.
You will be rewarded with a competitive salary as well as an excellent pension scheme, opportunities and other benefits such as flexible working.
So, if you are dedicated professional, who can inspire others and deliver measurable outcomes, who thrives on fresh challenges and a varied portfolio and is ready for a fresh start in a role that can provide a high degree of job satisfaction then we would love to hear from you.
