We’re on the lookout for a driven Tax Manager specialized in global indirect tax matters. In this advisory role, you will support with shaping Expedia Group’s tax strategies while providing guidance to various business units and brands across the globe.
What you will do:
* Provide support in the development of indirect tax strategies and drive their implementation for multiple lines of business (Lodging, Car, Air and Activities)
* Review business contracts and provide recommendations on clauses to manage tax risks while supporting the business negotiation process
* Identify indirect tax risks and develop solutions to mitigate these risks
* Support with internal and external indirect tax audits
* Manage various indirect tax projects/initiatives, including coordinating and working with different members of the tax team in London, Seattle and Singapore, and cross functionally with finance, commercial, and legal teams, and external advisors;
* Support business teams with the day-to-day questions related to indirect tax
Who You Are :
* Relevant experience in indirect tax, preferably gained in a public accounting and/or law firm. Inhouse experience in the technology and/or travel sector is a plus
* Have a solid understanding of VAT and/or US Sales Tax concepts and principles
* Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and quickly adapt to change with a desire to learn, and manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
* Pro-active and diligent problem solver with attention to detail
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Proficient at both working independently and collaborating effectively within team dynamics
The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $110 500 to $155 000. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $177 000, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.
Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
