Overview

Are you a compassionate, caring and considerate person, motivated by helping others and looking for a sense of achievement in your job? Our Teams at Queen Elizabeth Hospital are looking for Healthcare Support Workers to join Acute and General Medicine and Surgery. You will need to be able to work standard shift patterns starting at 07:30 or 20:00, including weekends and some public holidays. The minimum working hours per week are 22.5.


Responsibilities

* Participate in the delivery of personal patient‑centred care, maintaining a compassionate and professional attitude with patients, their families and carers.
* Record patient observations and changes to a patient7s clinical condition; carry out limited clinical care duties.
* Provide and participate in the provision of physical and personal care to patients as required.


Qualifications and progression

* If new to healthcare, you will be required to complete your care certificate and HCSW competencies within the first 6 months of employment.
* Experienced HCSW will need to demonstrate completion of HCSW competencies before moving to a Band 3 position.
