People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Solihull, West Midlands .
This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a leading supplier of household goods, offering great rates of pay, consistent ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for progression.
Shifts: • Monday to Friday • Start times between 03:00am and 06:00am • Weekend availability if desired
Rates of Pay: • £17.00 – £20.35 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties: • Operate and drive HGV Class 1 (C+E) vehicles safely and efficiently • Complete depot-to-depot and store deliveries as required • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections • Ensure all loads are safely and securely fastened • Follow all traffic laws and site safety regulations • Communicate effectively with dispatch teams and customers • Maintain accurate records of mileage, deliveries, and fuel use • Report any vehicle faults or maintenance issues to management • Assist with loading or unloading when required
Essential Skills: • Valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) Licence • Minimum 12 months' experience driving C+E vehicles • No more than six points for minor offences (no major endorsements) • Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card • Good level of written and spoken English • Experience operating various trailer types • Strong time management and punctuality • Good communication and teamwork skills • Flexible and willing to work overtime when needed • Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure
Desirable Experience: • Previous commercial driving experience in a similar environment
Training Provided: • Full industry-related training and ongoing support throughout employment
