What you will do:
* Develop, co-ordinate, and provide an expert medicine optimisation service.
* Assist with managing stock shortages and medicines recalls, supported by the Medicines Safety Officer.
* Clinically screen and order patient own medicines in a timely manner.
* Ensure refrigerator and room temperature checks are conducted appropriately in line with the Trust Medicine Code.
* Liaise with patients, relatives, or specialist services to request ‘Patient Own Drugs’ (PODs) be brought into the hospital in line with the Standard Operating Procedure.
* Assist in the transfer of medicines between services, where appropriate.
Requirements:
* To be considered, you must be HCPC registered and have the necessary qualifications to provide expert pharmaceutical care. A car driver is also essential to fulfil this role effectively.
