Injection Moulding Setter
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Injection Moulding Setter on behalf of a well-established and innovative manufacturing company specialising in high-quality injection moulding solutions. The Role
As an Injection Moulding Setter, you will be responsible for the setup, operation, and optimisation of injection moulding machines to ensure efficient production and consistent product quality.
You will play a key role in maintaining production standards, troubleshooting issues, and supporting continuous improvement within the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities
Machine Setup
*
Set up injection moulding machines, tooling, and auxiliary equipment for production runs
*
Prepare machines according to production schedules and company procedures
Process Optimisation
*
Monitor and adjust machine settings including temperature, pressure, and cycle times
*
Ensure machines run efficiently to maximise output and minimise waste
Quality Control
*
Conduct visual inspections of produced parts
*
Ensure products meet required quality standards and specifications
Troubleshooting
*
Identify and resolve issues with machines, moulds, or production processes
*
Work quickly to minimise downtime and maintain productivity
Documentation
*
Maintain accurate records of production activities, machine settings, and maintenance
Health & Safety
*
Follow all company health and safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment
Training Support
*
Provide guidance and support to junior operators and team members when required
Shift Pattern
Rotating shifts (Monday – Thursday):
*
6:00am – 2:00pm
*
2:00pm – 10:00pm
*
10:00pm – 6:00am
Friday shifts:
*
6:00am – 1:00pm
*
1:00pm – 8:00pm
*
8:00pm – 3:00am
Requirements
*
IMT Level 3 qualification or equivalent in a relevant discipline
*
Minimum 2 years’ experience as an Injection Moulding Setter within a manufacturing environment
*
Experience working with a range of plastic materials
*
Strong knowledge of machine setup, process adjustment, and troubleshooting
*
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
*
Strong problem-solving skills
*
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment
