GSL Education are working with schools in Sheffield (S5, S9) to appoint a dedicated Pastoral Lead who can make a meaningful impact on learners’ personal, social, and emotional development. As a Pastoral Lead, you will oversee student pastoral care, provide guidance and mentoring, and promote positive behaviour and wellbeing, working with staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure every learner thrives. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage pastoral care initiatives across the school. Provide one-to-one and group support to students facing personal or behavioural challenges. Monitor attendance, behaviour, and wellbeing, implementing strategies to improve outcomes. Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external agencies to support learners. Maintain records and report on student progress. Requirements of Pastoral Lead: Previous experience in pastoral leadership, mentoring, or education support roles. Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate and support students with varying needs. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting inclusive practice.
