Salary £28,142 - £32,061 Per annum (Pro‑Rata if part‑time) | Permanent, Full‑Time 37 hours per week & Part‑Time 18.5 hours per week | Central Lancashire – Chorley, Preston & Surrounding Areas.
About the Role
As a Residential Child Care Worker you will work from a children’s home where children and young people aged between 11 and 17 years live. You will eat and sleep at the home with the children, undertake basic household tasks such as cleaning, cooking, and shopping, and work on a rota basis covering days, evenings, weekends, and sleep‑in shifts.
Responsibilities
* Provide safe and nurturing care for children and young people.
* Support the development of children in all areas of life through creative activities and fun events.
* Engage children in 1:1 work around feelings, emotions and behaviours.
* Work closely with other professionals such as social workers, schools, police, and health workers to meet children’s needs.
* Participate in a detailed induction programme and ongoing reflective practice with managers.
