What does an Editor do for the Dyson Film Team? The editor will play a vital role on the onsite Dyson Film Team. They will be responsible for Offline and Online adaptation of supplied material. This role will require you to work onsite in the Malmesbury office 5 days a week. Role responsibilities: Offline Editing using Premiere Pro and some After Effects to adapt existing edits. Versioning edits and creating cut-downs. Adapting edits for social content including re-sizing. Ingesting assets from external production partners and internal archives. Conforming and online/finishing edits from supplied material. Working alongside Creatives/Client and Producers on a day to day basis producing a wide variety of content. They should ensure and maintain consistent file management and that Hogarth workflow is adhered to. Work collaboratively with other members of the on-site team, and the wider Hogarth team Deliver a consistently high quality of work that is on-brand within the agreed timeframes Ensure master deliverables meet legal and technical specs Experience required: Adobe Suite - Advanced working knowledge of Premiere Pro as well as working knowledge of After Effects, Media Encoder (and other encoding programs), Illustrator, Photoshop etc Working knowledge of Davinci Resolve would be beneficial. Strong technical knowledge of online conforming and troubleshooting EDL/XML/AAFs to guarantee a smooth workflow Advanced knowledge of Quality Control, feeding back errors to producers and Ops effectively to ensure a solution is implemented in a timely fashion Advanced knowledge of video codecs /file formats/social assets for social and online deliveries.
