Working Pattern: 12-hour shifts 4 on 4 off. 2 days & 2 nights and a period of standby (a degree of flexibility required)
In a nutshell
We have a fantastic opportunity as Duty Manager - Crewing to support the day-to-day supervision of the Crew team. This role works closely with the Duty Manager - Pre Ops to ensure the team's effective maintenance and management of crew resources meet our operational requirements.
We will look to you to motivate and coach team members, setting clear performance expectations, and accountabilities and giving continuous feedback.
Day to day
* Responsible for the decision-making and task accountabilities of those on shift.
* Effective development of all training requirements to ensure consistent and ongoing delivery of operating procedures, ensuring FTL regulatory control and compliance.
* Deputising as the need arises to maintain operational oversight and support to both Pre Ops and Crewing.
* Support in utilising Pilot and Cabin Crew resources effectively on the published roster, along with the identification and resolution of operational risk.
* Taking care of commercial requests to confirm crew resources available to meet operational demand.
* Monitor of spend on Pilot and Cabin Crew adhoc payments to ensure we remain within budget, raising where concerns exist.
* Recommend system or procedural changes that drive efficiency, accuracy improving regulatory oversight or deliver improvements to pilots or cabin crew.
* Strive for continuous improvement, reviewing, developing current working practices, producing recommendations and implementing where possible.
* Work cross-functionally across the Operational teams ensuring consistency and coordination.
* Record and report Audits, Non-Compliance Occurrences, LOI's/ Self Audit Programme
* Maintaining and recovering pilot training schedules

In addition to the above, we require:
* People Management and leadership experience
* Outstanding decision-making skills, able to balance the demand of the business and our people
* Knowledge of Crew Logistics systems and EASA FTL regulations desirable
* Proactive and able to prioritise multiple demands often time-bound
