Compass Associates are delighted to be partnering with one of the UK’s leading Community Pharmacy groups to recruit a diligent Pharmacist to join their team in Glasgow. The client is a reputable, community-oriented pharmacy chain committed to providing the highest standard of care. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills and work well as part of a cohesive team with a can-do attitude and a passion for community care.
This branch is staffed with an experienced team, including a non-pharmacist manager, a Healthcare Professional (HCP) and three trainee HCPs, delivering a high standard of service from a residential setting. Currently dispensing around 6,000 items per month; this is a relatively busy branch. The site utilises robotic distribution technology to free up time for patient care.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical guidelines
* Provide medication counselling and support to patients, addressing questions and concerns
* Collaborate with doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals to optimise patient care
* Conduct medication reviews and ensure safe and effective medication management
* Maintain accurate patient records and manage pharmacy inventory
* Provide immunisation services (where applicable)
* Offer advice on over-the-counter medications and healthcare products
* Participate in health promotion and public health initiatives
What You’ll Bring
* Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
* One year+ experience in a UK Community Pharmacy setting
* Strong commitment to patient care and safety
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
* Up-to-date knowledge of pharmaceutical products and healthcare trends
* A flexible and positive approach to problem-solving
Location
Glasgow, easily commutable from Bishopbriggs, Clydebank, Newton Mearns, East Kilbride, Uddingston, Moodiesburn, Erskine, Renfrew and Paisley.
