Community Dietitian

Band 5 vacancy within our team.
We are based in Trafford Community, supporting patients in their own homes, residential, nursing homes and clinic settings. This post covers adult services, with potential experience in paediatrics seen as an advantage.
Our caseload includes patients with cancer, dementia, respiratory diseases, gastrointestinal conditions and age‑related illnesses. We work closely with community MDT colleagues to provide high‑quality patient care.
Strong communication and time‑management skills are essential to independently manage a caseload. Clinical supervision and support from other dietitians and team leads will be provided.
Team‑working skills are key and we adopt a whole‑team approach to support and grow dietitians within the team.
Main duties of the job
Carry a general clinical caseload involving assessments and treatment plans for patients in home, residential, nursing home or clinic settings.
Provide clinical dietetic advice to support service planning and delivery.
Involve with dietetic student training and support the development of the next generation of dietitians.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Registration with HPC
* Membership of BDA and relevant special interest groups
* Completed student training
* Further health‑related qualification
Knowledge
* Ability to manage caseload
* Ability to work as part of MDT
* Understanding of clinical governance
* Commitment to CPD
* I.T. skills
* Knowledge of research and audit
* Awareness of national guidance
Training and Experience
* Experience with relevant conditions relating to nutrition and health‑eating factors
* Evidence of CPD
* Previous community experience
Other Requirements
* UK driving licence and access to own vehicle

Salary
£32,073 to £39,043 a year (Pro rata)
