This is a great opportunity for a Housing Management worker to join our team here in Transitional housing. As our Housing and Property expert, you’ll support our customers, ensuring their homes are safe and well maintained. Providing a housing management service, you’ll support them to manage and maintain their tenancy and rent accounts with the aim of helping them move on to a secure, long-term accommodation!
Responsibilities
* Support customers to manage their tenancy and rent accounts and help them move on to secure, long-term accommodation.
* Engage and involve customers in their tenancies to ensure homes are maintained.
* Assist customers with housing benefit claims and ensure these are reflected on their rent accounts.
* Turn around vacant or void properties within set timescales, including tasks such as cleaning and basic property maintenance.
* Carry out and record routine safety and compliance checks in buildings and communities to ensure compliance.
* Manage administrative tasks including updating records, ordering and arranging payments for works to be done.
What you bring
* Background in property management is desirable, but not essential if you have relevant experience in compliance and health and safety checks.
* A "+can do" positive attitude, proactive, well organised, and able to work on your own initiative.
* Passion for delivering excellent customer service and a genuine desire to help customers.
* Ability to work independently and influence people from diverse backgrounds; confident collaborating with colleagues and external partners.
* Drive for maintaining high-quality properties for customers.
* Unfortunately, due to limits on current certificates of sponsorship, we cannot offer sponsorship to external candidates for this role. This remains under regular review.
* Enhanced DBS check required and paid by us.

You’ll join Manager Rosie and our Transitional team; we’re passionate about what we do and proud of the support and guidance we give our customers. We’re a supportive team and like to help each other.
Job details
* Work pattern is Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
* Based at our service in Durham; you’ll travel around properties in our County Durham patch.
* Ability to use technology for creating/updating support plans, making benefit claims and tenancy sign-ups.
* Vehicle is required for business travel; mileage is paid.
* We pay for Enhanced DBS check.
