Role overview:
The Apprentice/Graduate Project Manager supports the Design Project Manager in coordinating and managing a capital infrastructure project. The role involves assisting with planning, risk management, quality control, and ensuring effective communication with stakeholders, contractors, and team members.
The position requires a proactive approach, adaptability, and a solid understanding of project management principles, with a focus on delivering work efficiently while developing key skills.
Based primarily in Glasgow, the role includes occasional site visits. It is an entry-level position suited to apprentices or recent graduates.
Responsibilities:
* Coordinating interfaces between client disciplines (engineering, safety, HSQE, programme controls)
* Organising stakeholder meetings, workshops, site access, and surveys
* Managing Technical Queries and Early Warnings to ensure timely responses
* Maintaining action trackers and ensuring follow-ups
* Supporting progress tracking against time and cost baselines
Requirements:
Essential -
* IT literate, with ability to confidently use standard MS Office suite.
* Flexibility and adaptability to fast changing needs.
* Effective communicator and confident with stakeholder discussion in various appropriate forums.
Desirable -
* Experience of infrastructure design
* Awareness of NEC4 contracts
* Knowledge of CEMAR or similar tool.
