HR Generalist / HR Advisor Location: Ripon Salary: £35,000 I am currently partnering with a well-established, fast-growing e-commerce and distribution business based in Ripon, North Yorkshire, to recruit an experienced HR Advisor. You will be a part of a close-knit, down-to-earth team of 3 working closely with the HR assistant. This role would particularly suit someone who enjoys a broad generalist remit and wants to develop long-term within a stable and supportive organisation. The Opportunity: This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy and collaborative People function! Reporting into the Head of People and working closely with an HR Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering practical, hands-on HR support across the operation. This is a visible, relationship-led role suited to someone who enjoys being embedded within the business and partnering closely with managers. Key Responsibilities: • Acting as the first point of contact for day-to-day HR queries from managers and employees • Managing end-to-end recruitment activity across peak and non-peak seasons • Supporting line managers with employee relations matters, absence management and performance processes • Ensuring compliance with employment legislation, right-to-work requirements and internal policies • Maintaining accurate HR records and supporting best practice processes • Contributing to a positive, engaged and high-performing workplace culture You will have: • Experience in a HR advisor role • Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice • Experience advising and coaching managers on a range of people matters • A calm, pragmatic and solutions-focused approach • CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent working experience) • The ability to build credibility and strong working relationships at all levels What's on Offer: • 23 days holiday plus Bank Holidays • Health insurance • Tech scheme • 3%/5% pension contribution • Regular team incentives and social perks • A supportive leadership team and collaborative HR function • A role with genuine variety, autonomy and impact If you are an experienced HR Advisor seeking a role where you can add real value and work within a business that genuinely prioritises its people, I would be delighted to speak with you.
