Location: Wisbech, England, United Kingdom
Contract: Full Time, Permanent, 40 hours per week.
Salary: Competitive – depends on experience.

Responsibilities
* Develop Comprehensive Care Plans: Tailor each young person’s plan to address their care, education, social, emotional, cultural, therapeutic, and health needs.
* Develop a great team: Partner with recruitment to bring in the right people, complete induction and personal development plans, and retain a strong team.
* Foster Consultation: Develop systems to consult young people about the care they receive.
* Allocate Key Workers: Assign a Key Worker to each young person to implement their childcare plan.
* Maintain High Standards: Establish and monitor high-quality care standards in line with National Minimum Standards and the Home’s Statement of Purpose.
* Handle Complaints and Concerns: Address complaints or child protection concerns.
* Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work with parents, carers, and professionals to promote welfare.
* Participate in Meetings: Attend and contribute to child care planning and review meetings.
* Embrace a safe culture: Ensure children are cared for at the best possible standard.
* Effective Commercial Management: Manage the home aligned to budget expectations.
Essential Requirements and Experience
* Passionate about making a difference to the lives of young people in care.
* Relevant experience: At least 2 years in residential care of children, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years.
* Qualifications: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent), or willingness to start within 6 months of employment.
* Knowledge: Understanding of The Quality Standards, SCCIF, childcare legislation, and regulatory requirements.
* Skills: Planning, organizing, budget control, resource allocation, and team leadership.
* Communication: Confidence in effective spoken and written communication.
* Understanding Trauma: Knowledge of the needs of children with behavioural, emotional, and social difficulties, including managing challenging behaviour.
* Driving licence: Full UK required.
