Chronos Energy is proud to be working in partnership with a leading organisation within the district heating sector. We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Business Development Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in driving growth and strengthening client relationships in a rapidly evolving and strategically important industry. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and expanding existing client accounts while proactively identifying and developing new business opportunities.


Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement business development strategies in collaboration with the Head of Business Development.
* Identify, target, and secure new Key Accounts within Local Authorities, Housing Associations, Private Developers, and Managing Agents in the communal heating and district energy sectors.
* Promote and represent the organisation’s full portfolio of products and services, including energy centre retrofit, operation and maintenance, and heat network optimisation solutions.
* Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and influencers, developing tailored engagement programmes to achieve commercial objectives.
* Ensure accurate and up-to-date records are maintained in relation to account management and client interactions.
* Provide regular market intelligence and insights on opportunities, risks, and competitive activities that could influence future business relationships.


Skills and Experience:

* In-depth knowledge of the UK commercial heating market, particularly in relation to communal heating and district energy.
* Basic knowledge of plant rooms with boilers and energy centres, possessing the ability to read schematics
* Proven ability to build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships at all levels within the business and with external stakeholders.
* A strategic and structured approach to business and market development.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to a wide range of stakeholders.
* Significant experience in client-facing sales and new business development, including key account management.
* Experience operating in both consultative and transactional sales environments, with the ability to articulate value propositions and successfully negotiate and close deals.
