A well-established organisation operating within the global Military, Aerospace, and Defence supply chain is seeking an Internal Sales Executive to join its UK team. The company specialises in professional sourcing and purchasing solutions for OEMs, with a strong focus on service, quality, and long-term customer partnerships. The Role

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Internal Sales Executive to support our sales function and help manage key customer relationships. Working from our office in Alton, you will play a vital role in driving revenue growth, supporting external account managers, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. This position is ideal for an ambitious individual seeking a varied role within a small, collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Act as the main point of contact for assigned customer accounts, developing strong and lasting relationships.
2. Respond promptly to customer enquiries and RFQs, preparing accurate and timely quotations.
3. Identify and qualify new sales opportunities through proactive outbound calls and emails.
4. Process customer purchase orders via the company's ERP system and liaise with internal teams (Operations, Purchasing, Shipping) to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
5. Maintain and update the ERP system to ensure accurate records.
6. Monitor order progress, troubleshoot delivery issues, and resolve routine customer concerns.
7. Collaborate with external sales and business development teams on strategic accounts and complex sales cycles.
8. Support contract administration and ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.

Required Skills & Experience

9. Proven experience in inside sales, customer service, or sales support, ideally within a distribution or manufacturing environment.
10. Knowledge of the Aerospace and/or Defence sectors and related procurement processes is highly advantageous.
11. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively.
12. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
13. Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and experienced with ERP systems.
14. A motivated team player with strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused approach.

Hours

20. 5 hours per week
21. Monday-Thursday: 09:00-17:30
22. Friday: 09:00-14:30

Experience

23. Background in supply chain logistics, procurement, or purchasing (Aerospace/Defence preferred)
24. Experience in an inside sales, customer service, or sales support role, ideally within distribution and manufacturing environment.
