We've partnered with a leading global manufacturer to recruit a skilled Electrical Engineer to support and improve site-wide electrical systems. This is a hands-on role with the opportunity to develop into a leadership position, driving improvement projects and mentoring others within the maintenance team.
Hours & Salary:
£40,000 - £52,000 (depending on experience)
Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours per week (flexible schedule covering core hours)Key Responsibilities:
Lead and deliver electrical and automation projects to improve performance and reliability.
Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic faults across production machinery.
Program and update PLCs and HMIs (Allen Bradley and Mitsubishi experience preferred).
Install, maintain, and upgrade control panels and automated systems.
Carry out planned maintenance and ensure minimal downtime across departments.
Support continuous improvement, identifying efficiency and cost-saving opportunities.
Maintain accurate maintenance records using CMMS software and ensure compliance with H&S regulations.
Provide technical guidance to colleagues and assist contractors as needed.Qualifications & Experience:
5+ years' experience in a manufacturing or production support environment.
Strong fault-finding, PLC, and control system experience.
Level 3 qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (Level 4/5 or Degree preferred).
Skilled in automation systems, electrical safety, and 2D CAD software (AutoCAD, EPlan, or similar).
