Job Description
We are hiring a General Manager at King's Heath School, Birmingham, dedicated to ensuring future generations receive nutritionally balanced and tasty food. This role is term-time only, with no weekends, offering great flexibility. As the General Manager, you will oversee the Catering Manager and the operation of the site.
The Role
* Salary up to £35,000 per annum
* 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
* Term-time only – 38 weeks plus 3 additional weeks during the academic year
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
* Ensuring compliance with statutory and company requirements related to Health and Safety, Food Safety, and environmental legislation
* Enhancing the company's reputation for excellent food and service with clients and customers, consistently exceeding expectations
* Managing the day-to-day operations of the location, supervising teams, managing inventories, monitoring budgets, and implementing action plans
* Acting as the main point of contact for the client at your school, recommending and implementing improvements
* Regular communication with line management to monitor KPIs and financial targets
* Supporting and training teams, leading to ensure excellence in roles through training completion and performance management
