Conventional machinist/turner Due to further expansion - this growing business who specialise in the repair of rotating equipment including electric motors, pumps and gearboxes is seeking an experienced Conventional Turner/Machinist. You will be responsible for: - * Conventional turning and milling using manual machinery. * The use of conventional machines and other machines to manufacturer new parts * Working on small batch parts and taking responsibility of measuring worn or broken parts * Producing new parts taking into consideration bearing tolerances and machine threats * General bench fitting duties may be some of your responsibility. * On call work – one in four * General repair of rotating machines, electric motors, pumps and gearboxes would be ideal. To apply you will be: - * An experienced manual/conventional machinist/turner (NOT CNC) * General bench fitting experience would be ideal. * Must be available to be on call one week a month * Overtime available subject to workload * Experience of repairing rotating machines, electric motors, pumps & gearboxes would be ideal * Sound Engineering knowledge and a positive attitude * Flexibility, as overtime required often at short notice.
