The Plant Place is a family owned independent garden centre in Lancashire, home to The Garden Room, our brand-new, purpose built restaurant offering fresh, seasonal small plates in a stylish, welcoming setting.
We're looking for a confident and customer focused Front of House Supervisor to support our Restaurant and Front of House Managers in leading the team and delivering outstanding service to every guest. Responsibilities
* Oversee the daily operations of the front of house area, ensuring smooth and efficient service
* Train and supervise front of house staff, including servers, hosts, and bartenders
* Maintain high standards of customer service and ensure guest satisfaction
* Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimise table turnover and maximize revenue
* Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food delivery
* Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner
* Monitor inventory levels of supplies, such as menus, condiments, and utensils, and place orders as needed
* Implement and enforce health and safety guidelines to maintain a clean and safe environment for guests and staff
Skills
* Previous experience working in a restaurant or hotel setting
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
* Knowledge of food production, culinary techniques, and bartending practices
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests, staff, and management
* Ability to handle high-pressure situations with composure and problem-solving skills
* Exceptional organisational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the business
