About the role
We are currently welcoming applications for cleaning vacancies at the University of Plymouth. Under the supervision of the Cleaning Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing an efficient and customer-focused cleaning service across various university facilities.
As a cleaner, you will contribute to the student experience by maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Good customer service skills and effective communication, both verbal and written, are essential. Basic computer knowledge would be advantageous.
You should have manual handling awareness and be reasonably physically fit, as you will need to move, lift, and carry cleaning equipment, supplies, and waste bags.
We offer various shift patterns, which depend on the position and business needs. You may indicate a preference for a particular shift:
* Monday to Friday, 06:00-09:00 or 06:30-09:30, 15 hours per week
You will also be required to work up to 8 Saturday morning shifts per year, with additional pay according to university overtime rates.
