We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tiler to join our team.
As a Tiler, you will be responsible for installing and repairing various types of tiles in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Your precision, attention to detail, and expertise will play a crucial role in creating visually appealing and durable tile installations.
Responsibilities
* Measure and mark surfaces to be tiled, ensuring accuracy and proper alignment.
* Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and removing any debris or old tiles.
* Mix and apply adhesives, mortar, or grout to secure tiles in place.
* Cut tiles to fit around obstacles and create seamless edges using appropriate tools.
* Arrange tiles in visually pleasing patterns, taking into consideration color, texture, and size variations.
* Maintain consistency in tile spacing and alignment, ensuring a professional finish.
* Collaborate with clients, contractors, and designers to understand project requirements and expectations.
* Work with various tile materials such as ceramic, porcelain, marble, granite, and glass.
* Ensure that all installations are waterproof and properly sealed to prevent damage and promote longevity.
* Repair and replace damaged tiles as needed, matching existing patterns and materials.
* Keep track of inventory and materials, making sure to order necessary supplies in a timely manner.
* Adhere to safety guidelines and practices, minimizing risks associated with working in construction environments.
* Complete projects within specified timelines, meeting quality standards and client satisfaction.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Tiler, with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse tile installation projects.
* Proficiency in using tile cutting tools, grouting equipment, and adhesives.
* Solid understanding of different tile materials and their characteristics.
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints and design plans.
* Detail-oriented with a keen eye for aesthetics and design.
* Strong communication skills to interact with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.
* Physical stamina and the ability to work in physically demanding environments.
