TIG Welder

Our award winning, original equipment manufacturing client require a skilled MIG Welder to join the team.
Duties:
* Work in accordance with any Legislative or company requirements for Health Safety and Environmental.
* To use MIG and/or TIG welding equipment to manufacture parts and assemblies as required, meeting defined production schedules, using the information contained within the works orders and SOP’s.
* Maintain the equipment in a satisfactory condition.
* Preparation of parts for welding including using machines such a sizers and saws
* Work closely with the Quality department to ensure correct operation and continuous improvement of both process and product
* Support Works order and process tracking via shop floor data capture systems and the company wide ERP system.
* Operation of basic tube manipulation and fabrication equipment (once training complete) as required.
* Review of finished assemblies & parts to ensure accuracy reporting issues via the Quality Assurance team.
* Perform other duties as requested by the Shopfloor Supervisor .
* Work on the development of new components as required.
* To manufacture quality parts & assemblies from jigs & fixtures in accordance to company SOP’s.
* Work on any new projects as and when required.
* Ensure parts are prepared to a satisfactory condition for fit and cleanliness.
* To work to production schedules as provided by the production plan and individual work orders.
* To meet output targets as defined by the schedule and routing.
* Operating other necessary equipment and performing tasks necessary to complete parts to specifications.
* Preparing and setup of necessary tools and equipment for welding jobs - carry out cleaning and basic maintenance of work areas and machines.
* Arranging of parts for welding and staging processes.
* Propose potential quality or productivity enhancements i.e. continual improvements
* Review of finished assemblies & parts to ensure accuracy.

* Must have good literacy and numeracy abilities
* You must be able to work diligently with the minimum supervision day to day

* Must be a strong team player with a “Can Do” attitude
